Field Activities Conducted in 2009:
- Site 07 supplemental soil and groundwater sampling
- Site 09 groundwater / Pore Water sampling
- Site 17 supplemental soil sampling and soil removal of pesticide-impacted soil
- Eastern Plume EC Profiling, installation of permanent monitoring wells, and groundwater sampling for 1,4-dioxane and bedrock investigation
- Eastern Plume operations and maintenance work for the GWETS
- Eastern Plume installation of two new extraction wells (EW-08 and EW-09), brought extraction well 5B online, and performed well rehabilitation of extraction well 02A
- Long-Term Monitoring sampling activities at various sites
- Small Point Rake Station soil investigation and cleanup, Topsham sampling, and field investigation activities at East Brunswick in support of FOST property transfer
- RCRA building closure soil sampling activities Topsham and NASB Skeet ranges and Machine Gun Boresight Range munitions constituents sampling
- Navy Exchange Service Station removal and disposal of three USTs, removal of petroleum-hydrocarbon contaminated soil, excavation dewatering and disposal of pumped water, and restoration of excavated areas
